How do I find out if I am eligable for goverment help??
And if so how do I get started?? I have alot of heath problems like (IC) Interstitial Cystitis, Diabetes, pcod, low thyroid, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, severe social anxiety and I am bipolar. Where and how do I get started to see if I can get some help because I have been unable to work for the past year. Any info would be great. Thank you!
if you are engaged to be married any time soon or are already married, they will tell you that you need to be covered under your husband’s insurance.
As for applying for disability, it is a very long process. You need the support and documentation of all of your MDs, you have to take your meds faithfully as proof that the side effects(ex- dizziness, tiredness) make you unable to do any jobs you’ve done in the past, you have to keep all of your office visits, tests, etc. to prove that you are compliant otherwise you can be denied.
It took me over 2 yrs. to get a hearing in front of a law judge. After the 1st denial I obtained an attorney. During the wait, SSD will send you paper work several times w/the same questions but reworded to trick you. Save and copy everything you send back to social security and they copy what you wrote onto the forms they keep sending you.
It is a pain but if you keep at it and prove beyond a reasonable doubt you can not work, you should get your disability. good luck.

My mom is bipolar and she gets all of her medications thru county mental health services. Go to your county or city web page and search thru the services. They will have a link to the application or you can get an address and walk in to apply.
