How do you acquire diabetes through your diet?

What do you have to eat?

Yes, you CAN acquire diabetes through your diet. You don’t have to eat anything in particular–you can acquire it because you eat too many calories–period.

You do NOT need to inherit the gene.

Eating too much sugar does not, in and of itself, cause diabetes.

But by being overweight–because you eat too much sugar, or too much fat, or because you don’t exercise–you greatly increase the chance that you will develop Type II diabetes.

It doesn’t have so much to do with what you eat. Usually people get diabetes when they are obese. It is how your body breaks down sugar. Diabetics can’t break down sugar very well due to their body not producing enough insulin.Insulin is the chemical your body produces to break down sugars. Stuff diabetics should stay away from are breads, potatoes, candy , orange juice, honey, basically anything with a lot of grease, fat, or sugar.

You cannot get diabetes through diet!! You must become obese with the diabetes gene. If you don’t have the gene, you won’t get diabetes no matter what.

Most people who are obese are not diabetics, tho.

You become obese by eating 8 to 11 servings daily of breads and cereals, no fats to buffer all the starches, and sodas for liquid in the diet! Does not matter if they are diet sodas or regular.

"Type 2 diabetes occurs when the pancreas does not make enough insulin, the insulin does not work properly, or both. Being overweight makes type 2 diabetes more likely to occur. It can happen in a person of any age."
