You may want to start with your own doctor so that he can explain better that you have type 2 diabetes and what possible complications you may have later in life. He can also refer you to a dietician who can really help you out with what you can eat or can’t eat.

There are plenty of online sites with heaps of information. You really need to know about your condition and what you need to do to control it. Also, local hospitals often have Diabetes information classes. Take it — it will open up your eyes and should be covered by your health insurance. Good luck.
