She uses an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitoring system to control her diabetes. She primarily focuses her efforts on encouraging and training those who have diabetes. Doretta began strength training with a trainer 8 years ago and quickly noticed how much strength training helped with her diabetes management, as well as her overall health.

Doretta found that strength training made such a huge difference in her diabetes management. She was inspired to become a fitness trainer so that she could share her love of fitness and good health with others. She primarily trains and coaches people with diabetes as well as those with other medical conditions. I know first-hand the difference that exercise can make for a persons health, both short and long-term…
