so, i’m 17 years old, 5’2” (but totally done growing, haven’t grown since about 5th grade) and 148 pounds. my doctor told me that i should try to get down to around 115-120 pounds as soon as possible because i’m at risk for diabetes and some cancers. i’d like to lose this weight over the summer, so i look and feel amazing for my senior year. so….

I have type 1 diabetes and am having trouble losing weight. I am just starting to take insulin to get my sugars under control and i seemed to have gained 7 pounds in a week despite exercising everyday and eating under 1300 calories for a week!
