Are there alternative treatments to diabetes?
I am a type 2 diabetic. My doctor tells me that regardless of what I do as for as medication, diet, exercise, etc that my numbers will continue to get worst.
Are there diabetes treatments that work but are not accepted by the medical community in general? Please site your sources.

If you’re overweight, the best thing you can do for your diabetes is to lose weight.
Exercise is the best treatment for you, anytime.
I’m working on losing 10% of my weight presently. My doctor says that I could possibly “cure” my diabetes completely if I were to lose 20-30 lbs.

Here’s a good acronym:
N-nutrition
E-exercise
W-water
S-sunshine
T-temperance
A-air
R-rest
T-trust in God
The healthier you eat, more water you drink (course, don’t overdo it! but you know how the right amount), temperance being don’t do drugs/drink alcohol, rest getting the right amount of sleep.
There’s a place in Weimar, CA where they use this program to help people (especially with medical conditions) to get better & be healthier, & they use this program–it’s very effective. Then again, they use vegetarian & vegan (no dairy) food…but I would seriously try this.
Also, my mom (who has a skin condition known as psoriasis), when she went off white flour products & sugar (which in some aspects is part of this, only, she wasn’t eating vegetarian), her skin nearly cleared up. point being, eating healthier helps your system tremendously.
hope that helps

Your answer is natural cure which will never be accepted by medical community for obvious reasons. I used the advice from http://www.enaturecure.com/2009/08/natural-cure-for-diabetes.html and had good results. You can try it too.

The answer from Becky is the best. Also you might find some helpful information out on WebMD.

Exerxise, maintain proper weight and eat right. Diabetes is treatable and there are different types of medications and treatments available. If your doctor tells you you can’t get better no matter what you do, find a new doctor.

Hydrotherapy is one of the oldest therapeutic methods for treatment. Additionally in individuals with Type 2 Diabetes, it can help to provide better sleep, reduce blood sugar levels and increase well being. Hydrotherapy can be performed in a water type tank or hot tub of various sizes. It has been recommended that soaking in a hot tub for 30 minutes a day for 5-6 days per week can change your diabetes condition drastically. In one study, an average diabetes patient had a reduction in blood sugar levels of 13 percent.
